The Year 5 trip to Youlbury has got off to a fantastic start. When we arrived, the sun was shining and we were greeted by a forest full of bluebells. The children have had a fantastic day exploring the outside and taking part in their group activities. All adults involved in the day have commented on how enthusiastic the children are and how they are all very supportive of one another. As a result of this, we have had lots of smiles, laughter and fun!
All the children have settled into what will be their home for the next 2 nights. We have had lots of positive comments about how nice the rooms are and how happy they are with their groupings.
The evening food was gratefully received by all and there wasn’t a clean plate in sight (half of the children even went up for seconds – sadly there were not any seconds of the pudding though!)
Astonishingly, all children have already been showered (if not reluctantly for some – parents I am sure you can guess who) and are now enjoying playing the wide games outside.
Sadly technology has let us down and photos can not be shared, but we will hopefully work out how to do that for tomorrow’s update.
Thank you all for allowing your children to come away with us and trusting us with them. We are very excited about our full schedule tomorrow and look forward to telling you all about it.
