It has been a fun packed day of adventure for the Year 5 children. After everyone had a good nights sleep, we all woke early for a 7.30am start. Mr Dunsdon enthusiastically led a game of rounders on the field before we were all treated to a continental breakfast with a choice of cereal, yogurts, fruits and danish pastries.
We have taken part in 4 activities today, and it is our pleasure to tell you that we have once again had lots of positive comments made about the children. They have shown the values which St Francis nurture in abundance, and for that we are very proud!
This evening, with bellies full from dinner, the group made their way down to the eagerly awaited camp fire. The team at Youlbury were amazing at leading us in lots of songs and dances. But the really exciting part of the evening was (of course) making smores.
As you can see from the photos, the children are very happy, the adults are still smiling and we all look forward to taking part in the final 2 activities at Youbury.
Upon our return to school tomorrow, please pick up the children from their classroom doors as normal and be prepared for an explosion of stories!
