As part of our topic on “Rivers”, we have arranged a trip to Coleshill on Monday 21st October 2019 for Swift and on Wednesday 23rd October 2019 for Kestral.
Each class will spend a whole day at the National Trust property where we will look at the features of a river through a river walk and by enjoying some river dipping! We will also be undertaking map work and carrying out field sketches.
We will be leaving school after registration and hope to return by the end of school.
Please ensure your child brings in a packed lunch with a drink in a rucksack (no cans or glass bottles). If your child is entitled to free school meals and you would like us to provide them with a packed lunch, please email admin or inform your class teacher ASAP.
This in an outdoor experience day and it can get cold by the river. Children MUST have several warm layers, ie; t shirt, sweatshirt and fleece along with a waterproof coat, wellies and ideally waterproof trousers. A change of socks is also advisable. Any medication your child has in school will be taken with us.
The voluntary contribution towards the cost of the trip will be £6.75 per child. Unfortunately, this trip will need to be cancelled if we do not receive enough contributions to cover the cost of the visit. Please contact the school office if you have any issues regarding payment, which will be dealt with confidentially. Please also see the school website for details of our charging policy.
Please give consent and make final payment via www.parentpay.com by 30th September 2019. If you do not wish your child to participate in this visit, please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org but please be aware that your child must still attend school on that day.
And finally, if you are able to volunteer to support us for the day, your help will be gratefully received. Please let either of us know if you would like to and are able to help. DBS Clearance will be required.
