On Tuesday, 3rd March 2020, as part of our Year 1 topic on Castles, we have arranged a class trip to Oxford Castle. We will leave St Francis after registration and will return by 3.15pm (subject to traffic). During the visit, the children will have the opportunity to find out about life in the past and explore differences between then and now at a place of local importance for nearly 1000 years.
School can provide packed lunches for all, if you would like us to prepare one, please book a hot dinner on Parentpay by 28th February 2020. We will not be able to provide any packed lunches if booked after this date. If you would prefer to provide your own lunch, please put it in a named, disposable bag (no glass bottles or fizzy drinks) and cancel your child’s hot dinner for that day on Parentpay by 28th February. All children will need to bring a bottle of water to drink throughout the day in a small rucksack.
Children will need to wear their normal school uniform and as children will be outside for the majority of the day, suitable coats and shoes are a necessity.
The voluntary contribution towards the cost of the trip will be £12.50 per child. Unfortunately, this trip will need to be cancelled if we do not receive enough contributions to cover the cost of the visit. Please contact the school office if you have any issues regarding payment, which will be dealt with confidentially.
Please give consent and make final payment via www.parentpay.com by 11th February 2020. If you do not wish your child to participate in this trip, please email us at: email@example.com but please be aware that your child must still attend school on that day.
