As part of Year 1 topic on “How have homes changed?”, we have arranged a trip to Milestones Museum in Basingstoke on Tuesday 24th February’26. Each class will spend a whole day at the museum where they will immerse themselves in the history of homes and streets through the ages. We will be leaving school after registration and will be returning approx. 3.30pm School can provide packed lunches for all, if you would like us to prepare one, please book a hot dinner on Payments by Friday 20th Feb’26. We will not be able to provide any packed lunches if booked after this date. If you would prefer to provide your own lunch, please put it in a named, disposable bag (no glass bottles or fizzy drinks) and cancel your child’s hot dinner for that day on Payments by 20th Feb’26. All children will need to bring a bottle of water to drink throughout the day in a small rucksack and wear a St Francis jumper or fleece. The voluntary contribution towards the cost of the trip will be £19.75 per child. This includes coach transport, entrance and two interactive sessions. Unfortunately, this trip will need to be cancelled if we do not receive enough contributions to cover the cost of the visit. Please contact the school office if you have any issues regarding payment, which will be dealt with confidentially. Please also see the school website for details of our charging policy. Please give consent and make final payment via payments on PA Connect by 10th Feb 2026. If your child is registered as Pupil Premium you will still need to check out to show consent. If you do not wish your child to participate in this visit, please email us at: accounts@stfrancis.swindon.sch.uk but please be aware that your child must still attend school on that day.
