As part of our topic on “Rivers”, we have arranged a trip to Coleshill on Friday 12th June 2026 for our Year 4 classes. We will spend a whole day at the National Trust property where we will look at the features of a river through a river walk (with possible pond dipping) and will also be undertaking map work and carrying out field sketches. We will be leaving school after registration and hope to return by the end of school. Please ensure your child brings in a packed lunch with a drink in a rucksack (no cans or glass bottles). Please also cancel your hot dinner if booked by 5th June’26. This in an outdoor experience day and it can get cold by the river. Children MUST have several warm layers, ie; t shirt, sweatshirt and fleece along with a waterproof coat, wellies and ideally waterproof trousers. A change of socks is also advisable. Any medication your child has in school will be taken with us. The voluntary contribution towards the cost of the trip will be £6 per child. Unfortunately, this trip will need to be cancelled if we do not receive enough contributions to cover the cost of the visit. Please contact the school office if you have any issues regarding payment, which will be dealt with confidentially. Please also see the school website for details of our charging policy. Please give consent and make final payment via PA Connect – payments 20th May 2026. If your child is registered as Pupil Premium, please still give consent via ‘payments’ and if needed, please speak to your class teacher regarding school providing a packed lunch.
And finally, if you are able to volunteer to support us for the day, your help will be gratefully received. Please let your class teacher know if you would like to and are able to help. DBS Clearance is required. Thank you
