Year 2
Welcome to Year 2
Year 2 is a fun, exciting, and busy time for our children. Throughout the year, your child will enjoy a wide range of engaging activities linked to our six key topics: Exploring Uganda, Rosa Parks, Pole to Pole, The Great Fire of London, Rainforests, and Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
Children will have the opportunity to take part in memorable experiences such as African drumming, meeting animals from the rainforest, designing and building their own fire engines, and visiting the local STEAM museum to explore the incredible inventions of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
We also make great use of the forest to enrich learning across the curriculum, helping children connect with nature and apply their knowledge in creative ways.
To stay informed, please keep an eye on Seesaw, our social media platforms, and the topic and homework webs.
PE days are Tuesday and Thursday, covering both indoor and outdoor sessions—please ensure your child comes prepared for both.
